Information Collection and Use
This privacy statement discloses the privacy practices for http://www.ahaSurvey.com

If you have questions or concerns regarding this statement, you should contact ahaSurvey by email at info@webdna.tv.

References in this document to "ahaSurvey" refer to WebDNA Limited, the owners of ahaSurvey.com, their affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and representatives (collectively, "ahaSurvey").

AhaSurvey collects certain information on this site. We will not sell, share, or rent the information we collect for our own use to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this Privacy Policy. However, the nature of our service means that other organizations and individuals use our site to collect information through survey questionnaires. AhaSurvey controls only our own use of information that we collect; other entities who collect information through our surveys may have their own different policies regarding the information they collect through survey questionnaires. Concerned users should check with the surveying organization to learn its privacy policy. AhaSurvey, itself, collects information from our users at several different points on our website, and that information is subject to our control and this Policy.

In order to use this website, a user may need to complete a registration form. During registration users who register for survey creation (survey makers) are required to give their contact information (such as name and email address, title, and company). This information is used to contact the user about the services on our site for which he/she has expressed interest. Survey makers may have their IP addresses (unique network identifying numbers) recorded in order to prevent fraud or misuse.

People who use this site only to take surveys (survey takers) have a different procedure. Takers of surveys created by survey makers do not need to register or give AhaSurvey particular data. In the course of filling out surveys, however, survey takers may enter personally identifiable information, which AhaSurvey will release only to the survey maker (but see exceptions below). In order to ensure that surveying is done in a fair, just, and scientific manner, AhaSurvey may record IP addresses of survey takers. NOTE: Individual IP addresses may be released beyond WebDNA Limited, in the course of providing results of non-Anonymous surveys to survey makers. Takers of Anonymous surveys will never have their IP addresses released to survey makers. Other releases of IP address information may happen only as otherwise provided for under the Exceptions section of this Privacy Policy.

Demographics and Survey Pools

Users who register in order to participate in survey "pools" choose to fill out demographic questionnaires, and receive offers to participate in surveys, either for personal interest or for compensation. These users must give specific personal information to AhaSurvey, so that we can sort out who qualifies for which incentives. AhaSurvey will not provide personally identifiable information to customers but may solicit survey takers who match particular characteristics on behalf of a customer. Again, IP addresses may be recorded to prevent fraud or misuse.

We request information from the survey maker on our activation page. Here a user must provide contact information (like name and shipping address) and financial information (like credit card number, expiration date, billing address, and purchase order number). This information is used for billing purposes and to fill customer's orders. If we have trouble processing an order, this contact information is used to get in touch with the user. Certain standard information (card number, address) is passed to credit card and financial institutions in the course of processing payments for orders, and becomes subject to their use. We keep financial information secure, on separate servers not directly connected to the Internet.

A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's hard drive containing information about the user. Our site uses cookies to provide functionality and authentication for survey makers on our site. The only information our cookies contain is a session identifier that is used to help authenticate a user during the time the user is logged in. If a user rejects or disallows cookies, he may not create survey questionnaires. Cookies can also enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our site.

Log Files

We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track users' movement, prevent unauthorized tampering with our services, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not generally linked to personally identifiable information, although they may be recorded in transaction log files to aid in security auditing. Log files include IP address, domain name, pages visited, access times, browser type, referring pages, and other information that is part of a normal Web page request.

Sharing and Selling Information

We may share aggregated demographic information about survey takers with our partners and customers. This is not given as personal information that can identify any individual person, but rather as broad statements about the characteristics of our survey taking pools.

We use credit card processing partners to bill users for services. These are reputable, major companies who use information we pass to them to provide financial services in the normal course of business.

Survey takers' responses to surveys hosted on behalf of our customers become the property of our customers. We will provide the response data to our customers, and nobody else (but see exceptions below). However, our customers may share or sell information that is their property. We encourage you to read our customers privacy policies, because they may differ from ours.

Information collected for AhaSurvey through our own surveys conducted on our own behalf, or via other means, may be shared with our customers, strategic partners, investors, or suppliers, in aggregate form.

his web site contains links to other sites. Please be aware that we, WebDNA Limited, are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every web site that collects personally identifiable information. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by this Web site for AhaSurvey.

Our site contains a number of survey questionnaires hosted by AhaSurvey, on behalf of our customers, the survey makers. Participation in these surveys is completely voluntary and the user therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose this information. Information requested may include personally identifiable information. AhaSurvey has no control over what information is requested by our customers, but Information gained from surveys conducted by AhaSurvey for our own use will be subject to this Privacy Policy and our internal use policies.

Anonymous Surveys

AhaSurvey does provide mechanisms to help insulate the identities of our consumers, survey responders, from our customers, the surveyors, at the surveyor's request. Such surveys will include a notice that the survey data is being stored anonymously, without association with an email address or other unique personal identifier. These mechanisms are technological and insure only that the numbers identifying the responder do not equate to individually identifiable information. However, survey responders must remain aware that giving personally identifiable information in response to a survey questionnaire will circumvent any insulation that AhaSurvey could provide. Furthermore, surveys that do not give express notice of anonymity may in fact allow customers to link a survey taker's responses to his or her email address or other identifier. Survey takers should exercise care in what surveys they choose to complete.

If you believe a survey maker who has agreed to hold an anonymous survey is unscrupulously attempting to circumvent the privacy and anonymity mechanisms, please notify us at info@webdna.tv immediately.

AhaSurvey takes special care to protect our users' information. When users submit sensitive information via our website, your information is protected both online and off-line.

When our order form asks users to enter sensitive information (such as credit card number), that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry, currently Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). While on a secure page, such as our order form, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer appears "locked," as opposed to "unlocked," while accessing non-secure pages.

We compartmentalize and protect surveying data and billing data. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. All employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. Every quarter, as well as any time new policy is added, our employees are notified and/or reminded about the importance we place on privacy, and what they can do to ensure our customers' information is protected. Finally, the servers that we store personally identifiable information on are kept in a secure, monitored facility.

If you have any questions about the security at our website, you can send an email to info@webdna.tv.

Site and Billing Announcements

We may also send our customers site and billing announcements. Customers are not able to un-subscribe from these announcements, which contain important information about the service or the user's account. We communicate with the user to provide requested services and in regards to issues relating to their account via email or web. These announcements will not contain any promotional or marketing material, just information about the service or the user's account.

Customers and non-customers may sign up to receive our monthly newsletter. Upon subscribing, and included in every month's newsletter, is a link to an automated "unsubscribe" system.

Correction/Updating Personal Information

If a user's personally identifiable information changes (such as your post code), or if a user no longer desires our service, we will endeavor to provide a way to correct or update that user's personal data provided to us. This can be done by emailing our customer support at support@webdna.tv.

Customers' Data and Email Lists

In the course of providing services, AhaSurvey may receive data from customers or for customers, including questions and response data, and email lists for invitations. AhaSurvey will not use specific questions or email addresses for purposes other than providing service to the customer. Specifically, we do not use or sell email addresses to which invitations have been sent using AhaSurvey's email invitation system. Please note, however, that AhaSurvey does use aggregate information about questions, responses, and emails, to learn about and improve how our service works. For example, we may measure the response rates to email invitations, or how the position of a question on a page affects its response rate, but we will not use the specific questions, responses, or email addresses without your permission.

Nothing in this Privacy Policy or the User Agreement may be construed as stopping or inhibiting AhaSurvey's cooperation with law enforcement or investigative agencies or court orders. Furthermore, nothing in this Privacy Policy shall restrain WebDNA Limited from investigating and prosecuting any users of our site who attempt to defraud or damage us, or who violate our user agreement. Therefore, AhaSurvey may share otherwise protected data with law enforcement or investigative agencies, or as directed by court order. Also, when necessary to diagnose and repair technical problems, AhaSurvey may examine or change any data, computer code, or other information. Such examinations and change will be restricted to technical personnel with a need to know.

Notification of Changes

If we decide to change our Privacy Policy, we will post those changes on our site so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under circumstances, if any, we disclose it. If at any point we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will notify users by email. Users will have a choice as to whether or not we use their information in this different manner by opting out based upon that email. We will use information in accordance with the Privacy Policy under which the information was collected.

While AhaSurvey agrees to maintain certain security measures to protect User information, AhaSurvey is not responsible for release of User information caused by hacking or other User's tampering with the AhaSurvey web site. Users assume the risk that any information submitted, however secure, may be illegally misappropriated by others. AhaSurvey agrees to fully cooperate with law enforcement to protect and retrieve any information that may be illegally misappropriated by others.
